Tile & Grout Cleaning in Orange County CA and Surrounding Areas

Most tile and grout cleaners rely on water pressure or steam to clean hard surfaces. These floor cleaning methods can be inefficient and, in some cases can actually damage your tile and grout flooring!

We use the Rotovac because it uses a combination of rotary nylon cleaning brush bristles and spray jet to thoroughly clean tile and grout. The spray jets can use heated or unheated water at high pressure while the nylon brush bristles scrub the floor surface, the vacuum slots then suck up the water, grime and grit and results in clean, sparkling tile and brilliant grout once again!

And don’t forget the best part. Once we’re done making your tile and grout sparkling clean, we can use the same machine with a different cleaning head to clean your carpets in no time! We are proud to offer service carpet and hard floor surface services. Call us today or fill out our Free Estimate Request to get a quote. We look forward to providing you with excellent carpet cleaning and floor cleaning services!

Limestone is a nonfoliated metamorphic rock composed mostly of calcite (a crystalline form of calcium carbonate). Etymology: The word “marble” is colloquially used to refer to many other stones that are capable of taking a high polish.

Our most commonly requested service is limestone polishing. In some cases you may merely need to polish your limestone floors to achieve a shine like new providing it has been well maintained. For our clients who like their limestone to look better than new, inquire about our Diamond Polishing service. Our Diamond Polishing is our elite service which leaves your limestone looking like a glass mirror for a fraction of the cost of a newly installed limestone. Caveat: Not all polishing of your limestone, marble or travertine etc. is equal when performed by some so-called stone restoration companies. Please invest some time to read our discussion of this in our Stone Blog

Limestone Cleaning:

Our limestone cleaning process typically involves the use of our high pressure hot water extraction unit (up to 1200 psi) providing for the most effective limestone steam cleaning method for your stone. Limestone Restoration

Noticed some of your tiles are higher than others? Do you want your floor flattened to improve the esthetics, keep from chipping the edges, and facilitate limestone cleaning?Heaven Sent Floor Care can grind away the excess limestone to restore a flat level surface using the latest state-of-the-art machinery in conjunction with diamond abrasives and a natural polishing compound. Never do we use coatings or a “crystallization” process as many companies do.

Have you noticed dull areas in your traffic areas? This is typically associated with what is commonly referred to as wear patterns, scratches, etches and so forth. Heaven Sent Floor Care can repair these surfaces by either “honing” or polishing your limestone to eliminate these blemishes. The surface is then polished or honed to the desired finish leaving you with the memories of your new floor once again.

Limestone Sealing:

We use high grade penetrating (impregnating) solvent based sealers to seal your limestone surfaces. Their function is to absorb into the pores of the stone and fill them up. Tight pores help keep spills on the surface so they won’t soak in. Although penetrating sealers are not bulletproof, they are essential in keeping some acidic spills on the surface to prevent acids from eating away the underlying layers. This insures the resulting etch, or dull spot, can often be rehoned with the proper abrasives. Common liquids containing acids are: Citrus, vinegar, wine, soda, some perfumes and medicines.

While topcoat/surface sealers are appropriate for some types of natural stone, they ARE NOT RECOMMENDED for Limestone, Marble or Travertine.

Topcoat/surface sealers scratch and scuff much more easily than the stone itself. They will also flake, peel, and if applied too quickly can trap air bubbles and dirt underneath. This leads to a dirty hazy looking floor which most homeowners are unhappy with in a short time.

Chip & Crack Repairs

Have a chip, crack or broken marble tile? Heaven Sent Floor Care often times can repair your tile and blend it in with the surrounding tiles to match the surrounding surface.

High Gloss Finish:

We use the finest abrasives to achieve the glossiest finish possible for your stone. This shine is like turning your floor into a work of art, something to be noticed as much as the art on your walls. After the completion of our services we will provide you with specific instructions on how to clean your travertineor limestone surfaces.

When you need a finished edge on a piece of granite, marble or travertine tile, you have a couple of choices. You can pay a lot of money to have it polished–or you can do it yourself.

8 Steps to Polishing Granite, Marble, Travertine Tiles

After you have gathered your supplies, all that’s left is the polishing. Here are eight steps to guide you:

  1. Know your material. Marble and travertine are soft stones and will sand down relatively rapidly; you have to be careful not to remove too much material. Polishing granite tile, however, will be much more tedious. Be careful of travertine tile edges. Because the material is so porous, it may have unfilled holes or gaps along the edge. If you can’t find a solid edge, you may have to get some epoxy filler to repair it.
  2. Firmly clamp the tile to your worktop with the edge you are going to polish overhanging the bench by a half-inch or so. A piece of oak flooring or other dense board makes a good clamp board, as it distributes the pressure over a wide area. Use two clamps on a 12″ tile, if possible. (Of course, don’t ever clamp directly against the stone.)
  3. Don’t think you can hold the tile with one hand and polish with the other. You will be too unsteady and will increase the chance of cracking the tile.
  4. A typical stone tile already will have a slight bevel on the topside edge.
  5. If you are cutting the tiles (with your own, or rented wet saw), make sure to get the smoothest cut, with no blade marks. A small, 7″ saw will work, though especially for granite, a larger blade, like 14″, will provide a smoother cut. In any case, use clean water in the saw and apply constant gentle pressure to the tile as it moves through the saw.
  6. Use your belt sander for the first step, using 120 or 220 grit paper. If you have cut the edge, so the tile lacks its small bevel, run the belt sander along the top corner at a 45-degree angle a couple of times to build a bevel to match the manufactured edge. Again, if your material is granite or travertine, be careful not to remove too much material. In this step, you are removing any blade marks or roughness.
  7. Switch over to your reciprocating sander. Grits up to 200 will still be removing material. From 400 grit and finer, you are polishing. Work steadily and firmly over the surface, working through each grit of paper: don’t skip any. Polish up to 1500 grit, even 3000, if you can find paper that fine. You can wet-sand, but it really doesn’t polish better; it just cuts the dust.
  8. You can bull-nose marble tile or travertine. Because of the aggressiveness of a belt sander, you may want to use your reciprocating sander for rounding, using 100 and 200 grit. Then polish it from there with the progressively finer grits.

You might end up covered in dust with a stiff back, but you can also get a nice polished edge on your stone tiles and save yourself a chunk of cash.

Sometimes people use the phrases marble cleaning and marble polishing interchangeably. We have run across a number of people who believe that the dull look on themarble floor or travertine floor can be removed by cleaning. Often times, cleaning the floor using our pressurized cleaning process makes the floors look significantly better. In fact, the grout lines are often brought back to 80% of brand new. However, if the floor is dull, more than likely you will need a travertine or marble polishing process described on this page.

Your Marble or Travertine Floor: It Doesn’t Last Forever?

You put a tremendous amount of time in contemplation and finally you made the decision to go natural. Maybe it was the touch, the look or how it made you feel. Once installed, your marble floor or marble countertop looked wonderful; lustrous shine, depth of reflection and smooth to the touch and so pristine. Life was good. And then it began. Worn patterns, stains and scratches emerged. Grout lines turned dark. And what was once a focal point of the home, has now become an eye sore.

Your Marble Floor Looks Dull. How Did This Happen?

Marble Floor and Travertine Floor Cleaning

Often when people think about marble or travertine stone they assume that no care or maintenance is required. Marble floors or marble countertops are ignored or the stone is cleaned with the wrong method or chemical. Because of misinformation or no education, the consumer is not in a good position to maintain their new stone; consequently, damage to the stones crystals sets in. The damaged crystals prevent light from being reflected evenly thereby giving you a dull look.

Let’s go into this with a little more detail.

Reflectivity of Marble or Travertine Stone

Marble or travertine stone contains natural crystals. These crystals reflect light to provide a shine on the surface. When these crystals turn dull, crushed or broken, they cannot reflect light evenly. For example, when the lens of a flashlight breaks, it cannot reflect the light that is being emitted from the bulb.

Polished marble stone becomes dull when heavy foot traffic along with sediment erodes the crystals. Normal footwear does not cause the main damage, sediment and grit do. The sediment and grit that finds its way inside from outside, is often harder than your stone. This becomes the main enemy of stone crystal. The damage to the crystals occurs when the pressure from the shoe forces the sediment to abrade or fracture the crystals.

Other issues that negatively affect the stone are etching from acidic substances such as food, alcohols, perfumes and certain cleaning materials. If the floor is not properly sealed, the floors can easily stain from spills or accidents.

What Can We Do to Fix the Marble Stone?

The only way to restore the shine back onto your marble stone is to SHARPEN the crystals in the stone. This can only be done through honing and polishing using diamond abrasives and polish (explained below). Marble and travertine are soft materials compared with granite. Granite contains quartz minerals. The darker the color of the stone the more time it takes to polish it. Granite can take three to five times longer to polish than softer material.

How Do We Clean and Polish Granite, Marble, and Travertine?

What is honing?

Honing is the process for smoothing the stone with the use of abrasives. We use either a weighted buffing machine or our Cimex orbital machine to complete this process. We place diamond pads on the bottom of our machine. Honing Smoothes the Granite StoneThe diamonds work to abrade the floor creating a slurry. This makes the floor smooth and clean. If the floor does not have deep scratches, often the restoration project can start here. The grit level starts at 120 or so and runs to 800. Moderate scratch marks and etching can be removed through honing. Once you are into the higher grit numbers, a satin finish will be achieved. Some clients desire a satin look and wish to stop here. Others prefer a higher gloss and wish to move to the next phase, polishing.

Polishing Marble or Travertine Stone

As with the honing process, we will continue using either a weighted buffing machine or our Cimex Orbital machine. Once again, we will use polishing pads and attach them to the bottom of our pad driver. However, we will use finer and finer abrasives to produce a highly reflective finish. The shine intensity varies based on grit number. Polishing grits will run from 800 to 8500. The higher the number the higher the gloss

The last step of polishing is the use of polishing powders. Polishing powders often give that extra edge and often can make the surface uniform. Polishing powders contain abrasive and accelerators that are chemically potent. The kind of powders use will depend on the type of stone and the mineral mix within the stone.

If the floors are in decent shape or you have a maintenance plan in place, it is possible the only service you may need is only polishing. Our clients normally like to hear those words because it means less time and money.

What happens when the tile on your floor are so uneven it’s causing problems either staying clean (dirt collecting in the cracks) or walking without stubbing your toe or tripping?

This is where you may want to consider grinding down the high areas.

Grinding Marble or Travertine Stone

A process by which the surface is aggressively sanded to remove large stocks of the stone. This process is usually recommended when stone tiles are uneven. Lippage is the term given to uneven tiles that are set higher than one another. Grinding is recommended when the lippage exceeds 1/8 inch or if one desires to have a completely flat floor.

Grinding is an aggressive process using metal-bonded and diamond grit to remove deep scratches and lippage. A completely flat floor eliminates all unevenness, giving the floor the illusion of being monolithic (one piece).

Grinding the stone is messy work. But worth it!!

Travertine can become dull over time as it is one of the softer natural stones available to purchase in shops. Also due to its honey comb structure, travertine can become pitted, holes can appear and even tiles can crack. This can look very unsightly and can also give you a sinking feeling, as you may be thinking your once gorgeous and very expensive floor is ruined and needs to be ripped up. Luckily for you, this is not the case. All areas of travertine can be easily fixed, from filling holes to repairing cracks and then polishing the travertine floor back to its wonderful high shine like when the floor was first laid.

Below is a common sight where the factory fills in travertine have popped out. This can be due to foot abrasion and general wear, or underfloor heating can be a big player in holes and cracks appearing in your Tavertine floor.

20120513-232446.jpg

These can be very easily fixed with a stone filler, which are colour matched on site and applied to the hole. Polishable fillers are often best to use as they will look completely seamless when the floor is polished. If the filler can not be polished then the filler will remain dull and this will look as bad as the hole did. If you would like some filler to repair your own holes in your travertine contact me at, 949 545-5205 and we can get a DIY filler kit out to you, with full user instructions, for a fraction of the cost of getting a professional in. Cracks and chips can be treated in the same way, but can be harder to profile on travertine tiles.

Our 5 simple steps, outlined below, can bring back to life your travertine floor and transform your travertine floor back to its newly laid condition.

Step 1 – deep clean your travertine floor to remove all dirt from the grout, pits and pours of your tilesStep 2 – fill all cracks, holes, pits and chipsStep 3 – diamond grind the floor to remove any damage, scratches and excess filler from the repairs, and give your floor and perfect flat, honed finished ( note, grinding is not needed if your floor is in good condition and you just want to repairs a couple of holes your self)Step 4 – Polish the floor to your desired finish – satin, high shine, polished or mirror finishedStep 5 – Seal/impregnate floor to make water, oil and stain repellent.

After step 3 the floor will look like below

20120513-234407.jpg

After step 4, the floor had a wonderful polished finish, as this customer desired. This floor looked great, and as the floor became more polished, the more colour and character came out in the stone.

20120513-234927.jpg

Please note, this process can also be done on marble, limestone and terrazzo floors. This is all done using just water. No chemicals are used and we also offer free demonstrations, so if you fancy transforming your floor from dull, to a mirror finished, please don’t hesitate to contact myself www.pacificcarpetcleaning.net, or call me on, 949 545-5205

Few more pictures of this finished floor below, and the customer dog seemed to love it to.

“Mexican Tile” is a type of terra cotta (terracotta) tile; however, Terra Cotta has its own unique characteristics that requires a separate page. True Mexican Tiles are hand made and fired at relatively low temperatures. Therefore, they are not flat or perfectly square. There might even be animal tracks in the surface. The colors vary considerably from beiges, yellows, and oranges. Mexican tiles do not get baked in a kiln at high temperatures. Instead, they are left to bake outside in the Mexican sun and if it is a cloudy day the temperature can fluctuate which increases the porosity of the tiles.

Mexican Tile’s natural, warm colors and durability make it a popular choice for informal rooms, such as the kitchen and sunroom. Even a properly sealed floor eventually acquires layers of soil from foot traffic and frequent spills. Where the sealer has worn away or was never applied, the porous tile holds the dirt deeper than normal household cleaners and mops can reach. Dirt and stains are ground into waxes and acrylic coatings.

Even a properly sealed Mexican Tile eventually acquires layers of soil from foot traffic and frequent spills. Where the sealer has worn away or was never applied, the porous tile holds the dirt deeper than normal household cleaners and mops can reach. Dirt and stains are ground into waxes and acrylic coatings. The one big downside to Terra-Cotta tiles is that they have no glaze on the surface and can soil deeply dirt very quickly. The answe,r of course, is to seal them. Terracotta tiles are the most problematic to seal. Wax sealants tend to discolor to a darker shade and the wax or floor finish will scratch and powder off – leaving quite a mess!

Fortunately, Mexican Tile can be cleaned with StoneTech™ Professional’s All Purpose Cleaner, Klenzall or Revitalizer without altering its natural tone or texture. Years of soil can be dissolved and vacuumed away. Old finishes are more of a problem, especially if a petroleum based coating was applied.

Saltillo, a form of Mexican Tile, is often custom colored with a stain that can wear off or be harmed. Saltillo is very porous and is sun dried instead of fire-hardened like ceramic tiles. Efflorescence is common with saltillo tile. Efflorescence is the wicking up of salts within the tiles when unfinished tile gets wet. Incidentally, Saltillo is the capital of Coahuila state in Mexico and is pronounced säl te’yo.

Because Mexican Tile and Saltillo are somewhat soft (Saltillo being the softest), these should never be cleaned at pressures above 800 PSI and then only if the grout is in good condition.

Care & Maintenance of Mexican Tile:

Mexican Tile requires care to ensure that it lasts for years and generations and imparts natural beauty to the surroundings. Keep surface free of dust, which may otherwise produce scratches. Hence, dust interior floors frequently using a clean non-treated dry dust mop. Use warm water to clear regularly using a mop or sponge.

Natural stone is very porous. The best way to prevent stains is to treat the surface with a protective sealer. The sealer fills in the pores and repels spills on the surface, allowing you time to completely wipe it away.

We recommend that you use care and maintenance products from StoneTech™ Professional, a DuPont company, that are specially formulated to protect and enhance the beauty of your sandstone. Seal with ImpregnatorPro™ or BulletProof™ to maintain a natural color. To deepen color, seal with EnhancerPro™. Use Revitalizer™ cleaner for regular maintenance.

.Sealing Terra-Cotta

Although we usually think of Mexican Tile as “hard,” it is a porous material. If left unsealed, spills and everyday messes can easily penetrate the surface. The liquid eventually evaporates but the stain is left behind.

Removal of oily stains is easily accomplished with StoneTech™ Professional Oil and Stain Remover.

Fluorochemical technology, incorporated into StoneTech™ Professional BulletProof™ and EnhancerPro™ is the most advanced technology available, providing the ultimate shield against both water and oil-base stains. The micro-molecular formula actually bonds with the stone surface to deliver unsurpassed wear resistance and durability. And because the sealer reacts with the stone, you no longer have to worry about its porosity. It works on all types of stone, from ultra-porous Juparana Columbo to super-dense Absolute Black.

Restorative Cleaning of Mexican Tile:

Depending on the type of soil, stain or other foreign matter present, select one or more of the following options:

For stripping off any existing topical acrylic, urethane, epoxy, heavy wax coatings and epoxy grout haze:

  1. Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated.
  2. Sweep or dust mop loose dirt and debris.
  3. For heavy, hard to remove coatings, use StoneTech Professional™ Heavy Duty Coating Stripper as is.
  4. For softer coatings, dilute Heavy Duty Coating Stripper with clean water up to a 1 to 1 solution.
  5. Apply an even coat using a chemical-resistant paintbrush, roller or deck brush.
  6. Allow stripper to dwell for 20 minutes to 2 hours or as long as needed to soften coating. Heavy Duty Coating Stripper will remain active for up to 24 hours.
  7. Agitate well using a stiff nylon bristle scrub brush, stiff bristle push broom or a weighted floor machine at 130-140 lbs., 175 rpm, fitted with a scrub brush attachment.
  8. Rinse well with clean water and mop, sponge or wet vacuum to remove the remaining cleaning solution.
  9. A hard surface extraction wand and portable or truck mounted extraction machine may be used. Repeat the rinsing and wet vacuum process to insure that all dirt, soil and cleaner residue have been removed.

For cleaning of grease, oil, dirt, dry soil and soap scum from Mexican Tile:

  1. Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated. Sweep or dust mop loose dirt and debris.
  2. Strip off all topical finishes such as waxes and coatings.
  3. Prepare a solution of StoneTech Professional™ KlenzAll™ mixed with warm or hot water as suggested below:
    • Medium Duty Usage — Mix 1 part KlenzAll™ to 4 parts of water.
    • Heavy Duty Usage — Mix 1 part KlenzAll™ to 2 parts of water.
  4. Apply KlenzAll™ using a low-pressure chemical-resistant sprayer, sponge or mop.
  5. Agitate well using a stiff nylon bristle scrub brush, stiff bristle push broom or a weighted floor machine at 130 lbs.-140 lbs., 175 rpm, fitted with a scrub brush attachment.

  7. Repeat the rinsing and wet vacuum process to insure that all dirt, soil and cleaner residue have been removed.
  8. To remove deep or stubborn oil stains not completely removed by KlenzAll™, let the surface dry and use StoneTech Professional™ Oil Stain Remover.
    1. Apply a ¼ inch thick coat of Oil Stain Remover to the oil stained area. Insure that Oil Stain Remover covers an area 1″ to 2″ beyond the stained area for the purpose of containment.
    2. Allow 2-3 days for the Oil Stain Remover to dry to a powder.
    3. Sweep and wipe up dried powder and evaluate the stained area for removal.
    4. Repeat process if needed.
    5. Remove any remaining Oil Stain Remover using mineral spirits.

For removal of efflorescence, grout haze, salts, mineral deposits and all other calcium-based stains (acidic cleaning) on Mexican Tile:

  1. Test in an inconspicuous area, as some materials are acid sensitive and may etch when acidic cleaners like StoneTech Professional™ Restore™ are applied.
  2. Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated. Restore™ may damage stainless steel and other metals.
  3. Sweep or dust mop loose dirt and debris.
  4. Strip off all wax, acrylic, urethane and all topical finishes.
  5. Prepare a solution of Restore™ mixed with warm or hot water as suggested below:
    • Medium Duty Usage — Mix 1 part of Restore™ to 4 parts of water.
    • Heavy Duty Usage — Mix 1 part of Restore™ to 1 part of water.
  6. Liberally apply using a low-pressure chemical-resistant sprayer, sponge or mop.
  7. Agitate well using a stiff nylon bristle scrub brush, stiff bristle push broom or a weighted floor machine at 130 lbs.-140 lbs., 175 rpm, fitted with a scrub brush attachment.
  8. Rinse well with clean water and mop, sponge or wet vacuum to remove the remaining solution. A hard surface extraction wand and portable or truck mounted extraction machine may be used.>
  9. Repeat the rinsing and wet vacuum process to insure that all dirt, soil and cleaner residue have been removed.
  10. Thoroughly rinse all metal surfaces.

Sealing & Protecting Mexican Tile:

Natural stone surfaces must be sealed to prevent or minimize staining. Leaving natural stone untreated may greatly hinder the complete removal of stains in the future. The following suggestions are for impregnating the stone and will allow the stone to breathe. Allow new installations to cure for 72 hours prior to applying sealer.

For a natural looking protector on interior and exterior surfaces (heavy duty protection, water and oil repellency) on Mexican Tile:

  1. Sweep or vacuum all dust, dirt and debris.
  2. Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated.
  3. Insure that surface is clean and residue-free.
  4. StoneTech Professional™ Stone Sealer or Bullet Proof may be applied to damp surfaces one hour after standing water has been removed.
  5. Liberally apply an even coat of sealer using a low-pressure chemical-resistant sprayer, roller or brush.
  6. Allow sealer to penetrate the surface for 20-30 minutes. During this time, distribute excess over entire area to insure even penetration.
  7. Wipe off any remaining sealer prior to drying on the surface.
  8. A second coat may be needed for porous, absorbent surfaces and should be applied 30-40 minutes after initial application as directed above.
  9. A minimum of 30 minutes after final application, wipe entire surface with a towel dampened with sealer to remove any residue and excess sealer, if needed.
  10. A full cure is achieved after 24-72 hours; foot traffic may begin in 6-8 hours. Cover with red rosin paper, if foot traffic must resume before the recommended time periods have passed.

For a natural looking protector on exterior surfaces (heavy duty protection, water repellency only) on Mexican Tile:

StoneTech Professional™ Heavy Duty Exterior Stone and Masonry Sealer is a water repellent specially designed for exterior projects such as facades, cladding, pool decks, parking areas and driveways. It is very resistant to chemicals (i.e., chlorine) and to the effects of weather (i.e., ultraviolet light/sunlight, driving water/rain).

  1. Sweep or vacuum all dust, dirt and debris.
  2. Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated.
  3. Insure that the surface is clean, dry and residue-free.
  4. Liberally apply an even coat of Heavy Duty Exterior Stone and Masonry Sealer with a brush, paint roller or solvent-resistant low-pressure sprayer.
  5. Allow sealer to penetrate the surface for 15-30 minutes; denser material may require more time for sealer to penetrate.
  6. During this time, distribute excess over entire area to insure even penetration.
  7. Wipe off any remaining sealer prior to drying on the surface.
  8. A second coat may be needed for porous, absorbent surfaces and should be applied one hour after initial application as directed above.
  9. If sealer was not completely wiped off and a residue appears, wipe entire surface with a towel dampened with sealer.
  10. Use a white, non-abrasive nylon brush or pad to loosen residue and follow with a clean, white absorbent towel to remove.
  11. Do not walk on surface for at least 4-6 hours. Full cure is achieved in 24-72 hours.

For a color enhancing, impregnating (non-topical) protector on interior and exterior surfaces (heavy duty protection, water and oil repellency) on Mexican Tile:

  1. Sweep or vacuum all dust, dirt and debris.
  2. Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated.
  3. Insure that surface is clean, dry and residue-free.
  4. Liberally apply an even coat of StoneTech Professional™ Enhancer Pro™ using a low-pressure solvent-resistant sprayer, roller or brush.
  5. Allow to penetrate the surface for 15-30 minutes; denser material may require more time for Enhancer Pro™ to penetrate.
  6. During this time, distribute excess over entire area to insure even penetration.
  7. Completely wipe surface dry.
  8. DO NOT ALLOW ENHANCER PRO™ TO DRY COMPLETELY ON SURFACE!
  9. Failure to remove enhancer from the surface may result in a film or residue that may need to be mechanically removed.
  10. A second coat may be needed for porous, absorbent surfaces or if a darker appearance is required and should be applied one hour after initial application as directed above.
  11. A full cure is achieved after 24-72 hours; foot traffic may begin in 6-8 hours.
  12. Cover with red rosin paper, if foot traffic must resume before the recommended time periods have passed.

Maintenance Cleaning of Mexican Tile

Highly alkaline, acidic, ammoniated, abrasive cleaners and/or bleach may break down the sealer, adversely affecting repellency and may not be good for the stone. Use a neutral cleaner specially formulated for natural stone.
